Respite / Substitute Care

Services Description

Respite Services are available for individuals on the Developmental Disabilities Wavier and for persons on the waiting list for the Developmental Disabilities Waiver through State General Funds.

Respite service is a relief service for the primary caregivers.  Respite hours are spent with a Respite Provider and may be in individual’s home, the Respite Provider’s home or out in the community. Respite Providers are screened and trained per state standards regarding needs and interests of the individuals served.

Services include:

• Non-medical personal care
• preparing individual and assisting for day-to-day activities i.e., meals, light housekeeping, and entertainment.
• Support in recreational activities and leisure.

The well-being of individuals receiving respite services is overseen by a team consisting of guardians, family members, case managers, providers, therapists and others.  Active Solutions is committed to working with all of the interdisciplinary team members to properly advocate for and support individuals we served.
